Date: | Friday, 30 October 2009 |
Time: | 19:30 - 22:00 |
Location: | Dewan Chancellor Hall, IMU |
Sometimes a good cause needs a good scare!
In 2007 IMU adopted Kampung Orang Asli Serendah as one of it's homes for it's Community and Social Responsibility Programme.
One of the challenges faced by the Orang Asli there is unclean water. Without proper water supply, the residents are vulnerable to many water-borne illnesses. The idea of raising funds is to be able to provide them with a manual water pump. Each pump (+ installation of the pump) costs about RM2500, and we hope to raise enough money for at least one (or more) pump. This will enable the residents to have a supply of properly sanitized water and reduce the number of residents with water-borne illnesses.
Various activities have been planned throughout the whole night.
Tickets are for sale for RM12 and can be purchased from any of the Vice-Presidents.
Dinner is included together with the price (bargain) so do come along for some fun but also to help out for a good cause!
For more information about the event, check it out here
3) Acoustic Night
Date: | Tuesday, 27 October 2009 |
Time: | 19:00 - 23:00 |
Location: | IMU Gym - Dance studio |
The event is free-of-charge and is open to all. There will be live, unplugged performances, open mike sessions and so on. So do tag along with friends and whoever you want to invite and have fun!

1) Dress Code
A light reminder to all to adhere to the dress code given by IMU.

A further three offenses will result in a talk with the dean and action will be taken.
2) Respect to IMU Staff Members
Complaints have been raised about some students with regards to their behavior towards staff members at IMU.
Please maintain a good relationship between students and staff members and treat them as how you would like to be treated i.e. with respect.

This is to prevent rat infestation but its also a common area for all students to gather so please keep try to keep a clean environment for everyone.

I am pleased to inform you that the First Aid Kit in the Student Lounge has been filled up for a while already by the SRC.
However, if we find that the items inside the box are once again stolen we will unfortunately have to stop placing anything inside the box and it shall remain forever empty.
So please be considerate of other and use the box to treat real injuries and emergencies.
Also we are happy to announce that we have bought a microwave for the students to use to reheat their food.
Please be considerate
- and treat the microwave gently. Do not bang the door or punch the open button.
- to our muslim friends and do not reheat non-halal food in the microwave.
- and do not heat inappropriate items in the microwave, it is only meant for heating up food.
If you want to eat, please eat in the eating area inside the SRC office or on the tables of the first, second and fourth floor if it's outside food. If it's food from the canteen please eat it in the canteen, not the student lounge.
This is to prevent any rat infestation and unsightly stains (which have been increasing recently) in the student lounge.

Zia Shah
